Bobbi-Jo Molokken, LISW, CCTP, is a psychotherapist and an ADHD Coach & Educator. She practices from a neurodiversity-affirming perspective, which views ADHD as a naturally occurring variation in how humans think, communicate, process information and interact with the world. It’s is not viewed as something that needs to be cured or fixed, rather understood and supported. Challenges that arise for ADHDers are often caused by social and environmental factors. Providing quality and affirming treatment of ADHDers requires a deep knowledge of how ADHD works and understanding that strategies that work well for neurotypical clients, may not work as well for neurodivergent individuals.
