Group ADHD Coaching for Therapists
Being a therapist isn’t easy. Adding some ADHD to the equation brings with it strengths and also many challenges.
You’re great building rapport with clients…and struggle to complete documentation.
You can hyperfocus on being present in session….and have a hard time keeping up with emails.
You handle crises amazingly well…yet might not remember to practice all those self care strategies you talk about all day long.
Having support from people who understand the unique experiences of being both a therapist and ADHDer is invaluable! Bobbi-Jo is an ADHDer therapist and ADHD coach herself and is passionate about creating communities with people who “get it” and offering the kinds of supports that she’s always wished for.
After conversations with many ADHDer therapists, I’ve found there’s a need for 2 different group structures.
A group for ADHDer therapists who are newer to exploring the impact of ADHD on their life they often are wanting more structured support and want to learn and build strategies for creating balance in their daily lives.
A group for ADHDer therapists who already have some understanding of their ADHD who appreciate the ongoing support and community and benefit from some concrete goal setting and accountability.
So, in true ADHD fashion, I wanted to do all the things and created groups for both sets of needs! You can choose which group model best aligns with your current needs.

All groups are held via videoconference on Zoom
Discovering Your Inner Equilibrium-
The first coaching group we will do introductions, review group structure and features and discuss setting yourself up for success. At the end of each group you’ll be invited to share 1 small, realistic, concrete goal you want to complete before group the following week. From week 2 onward, each coaching group begins with members sharing in the chat any progress on their goal from the last week. Then, we transition into discussing the topic of the week. This could be a group discussion, or a presentation style format with input from group members. Most weeks you’ll be assigned to complete a section of the Inner Equilibrium Audit tool between group sessions. Members can choose to participate through unmuting themselves and speaking or can participate via the chat feature and reactions.
Support & Accountability Circle -
Each group begins with members sharing their progress on a specific goal that they set the previous week. There may be some individual coaching provided to members around any difficulties reaching their goals with group members being invited to share input at well. Next, group members are invited to bring in any work or personal challenges related to their ADHD they are currently struggling with to seek either support or strategies. At the end of each group all members are offered the opportunity to set 1 concrete goal they want to work on during the upcoming week.

Co-working or “body doubling” is a practice where two or more individuals are working on independent tasks in the same physical or virtual space. We meet on Zoom and for the first 5 or so minutes of the session each person shares what specific tasks they want to work on for the next 45 minutes. Then we all mute our microphones and then individually complete our tasks, generally with cameras on (but can be turned off if your prefer). The last 10 minutes we will unmute ourselves and each check back in about our progress on our stated goals. I recommend completing the tasks you find most difficult to do on your own during co-working sessions. There’s something about the quiet presence of someone else working in the same space as you that seems to help ADHDers complete their own necessary tasks. This time can be used to complete work or personal tasks.
While I list these sessions as optional, I strongly recommend participating. After offering this group for over a year now, I’ve found that those who regularly participate in the co-working sessions report making more progress on their personal goals than those who do not.

If you are uncertain, I recommend starting with Discovering Your Inner Equilibrium, as it will help you develop a deeper understanding of your ADHD and activity patterns and can help add some structure and skills to begin to think about implementing some changes. Once completed, the Support & Accountability Circle is designed to provide ongoing support. Discovering Your Inner Equilibrium is best for newly identified ADHDers or those who feel they are still learning about ADHD. It’s also best for those who prefer more structured groups with clear topics.
The Support & Accountability Circle fits more of a support group model, in that the topics come from the issues that group members bring up in the group each week. There is a bit of individual coaching within the group setting that occurs, that allows for all group members to apply anything presented to their own situations. There’s also more space for sharing your own wisdom and tips with other group members. The Support & Accountability Circle can be a good fit for those who feel they know and understand their ADHD fairly well, they just appreciate having ongoing support and benefit from the accountability the weekly meetings provide.

Yes! The default payment structure is one time monthly payments. When you choose to enroll in a group I will set up a payment structure and am willing to be flexible with dates of payment that works best for you or doing weekly or bi-weekly payments if that works best for your financial situation.

First, I want to acknowledge that asking for a reduced fee can bring up a lot of emotions for some individuals and want you to know in advance that I hold no judgments and it's extremely important in my personal and professional values to be able to provide equitable access. I have structured my business in a way that I'm able to accommodate a certain number of these requests.
A limited number of reduced fee spaces are available for each group to allow equitable access. If the full fee would prohibit you from being able to participate you can inquire about availability of reduce fee spaces when submitting an interest inquiry or during an initial discovery call.
If reduced fee spaces are available, I will ask you to share what amount would be feasible for you. I work from a place of trust and do not require any proof of income/expenses. The amount of fee reduction I'm able to offer can vary, so I will evaluate the factors and will let you know if I'm able to accept the amount you are able to offer at this time.
As I do not have any funding sources that cover the reduced rate differences, I simply ask that if your financial situation improves during our time working together that you request to increase the fee you pay accordingly.
